He was born in the magnolia house, where a heavenly scent spread through the whitewashed walls. In the past, Dr. João Teixeira, son-in-law of the late Dr. Gaspar, was the owner of the impressive building, previously belonging to Mr. Augusto de Almeida, where Dr. Cândido Teixeira, a man of great culture, set up one of the best and largest private collections of sacred art that are known. In 1966, the first exhibition of sacred art was organized at the former headquarters of Banda Senhora da Oliveira, where Dr. Teixeira kindly lent rare crucifixes, images and liturgical decorations, demonstrating great trust in the Gaspar family, it is believed that this was due to its participation in the Parish Bulletin and in the local press of Fajã de Cima. He expressed consideration in sharing such heritage, which unfortunately is no longer available in the parish. This collection, if donated to the parish, could form a unique sacred art museum in the region. It is worth mentioning that, currently, Fajã has stopped being a rural parish and has become a dormitory in Ponta Delgada. On the centenary of the church of Nossa Senhora de Oliveira, in July 1970, Dr. Teixeira once again lent material for an exhibition of sacred art, further increasing public participation in the event. However, in the 1970s, it was learned from the newspapers in São Paulo that the heir son of the Teixeira family, the architect Read Teixeira, decided to take all the material to Lisbon, despite efforts to keep it in the region. This departure was lamented by the late Father Flores as a loss to the cultural richness of the Azores. Fajã de Cima lost the chance to have its first museum due to the mentalities of the time.A property with such history offers the opportunity to make Casa da Magnólia your new home or a tourist development with a lot of history and richness at the gates of the city of Ponta Delgada!Be sure to make your real estate dream come true and get in touch with us! To vede k religiozitě rodiny Gasparů, jejímž patriarchou byl praotec Dr. Gaspara Diase Henriquese, renomovaného právníka v Ponta Delgada a bývalého ředitele novin "Correio dos Açores". Narodil se v domě magnólie, kde se bělostnými zdmi šířila nebeská vůně.Dr.
