- Garden Ver más Ver menos What the Owners Say: We moved here in 2014 and have loved living here and are only moving as we are starting a new chapter in our lives. We originally bought the bungalow because we felt the location was absolutely ideal as we feel we are in the country with Blean woods behind us and woodland in front but, at the same time, it is only a short distance to the centre of Chestfield and not far to Whitstable. The area is very quiet and peaceful and, as it is on a private ‘no through’ road, it is very safe for children and pets and if you have horsey interests there is a livery stables opposite. There are plenty of lovely places to go for walks on the nearby footpaths as well as along the Crab and Winkle Way. Chestfield is a friendly village and includes the Chestfield Golf Club as well as the cricket club and if you want to go out for a drink or a meal locally there is the 14th century Chestfield Barn bar and restaurant. Both Chestfield and Swalecliff and Whitstable stations are under a mile away and, while a train journey to London from Canterbury is faster, the train from Whitstable can whisk to London in an hour and a quarter. We are also only a short distance from the Thanet Way and Dover and Folkestone are within easy reach for trips to the Continent. While there are a number of good and outstanding primary schools in the area. Whitstable is nearby with its bars, restaurants, individual shops, station and historic harbour and we are only five miles from the UNESCO city of Canterbury with its heritage buildings, high street stores, pubs and eateries as well as top class private and grammar schools, three universities and a station where trains to London take less than an hour.

- Garden Ce que disent les propriétaires : Nous avons emménagé ici en 2014, nous avons adoré y vivre, et nous ne déménageons que lorsque nous entamons un nouveau chapitre de notre vie. Nous avions initialement acheté le bungalow car nous trouvions l’emplacement absolument idéal, car nous pensons être à la campagne, avec des bois de Blean derrière nous et des bois devant, mais en même temps, il n’est qu’à une courte distance du centre de Chestfield et pas loin de Whitstable. La zone est très calme et paisible et, comme elle se trouve sur une route privée interdite, elle est très sûre pour les enfants et les animaux de compagnie, et si vous avez des passions de chevaux, il y a une écurie en face. Il y a de nombreux endroits charmants pour se promener sur les sentiers proches ainsi que le long du Crab and Winkle Way. Chestfield est un village accueillant qui comprend le Chestfield Golf Club ainsi que le club de cricket, et si vous souhaitez sortir boire un verre ou manger localement, il y a le bar et restaurant Chestfield Barn du XIVe siècle. Les gares de Chestfield, Swalecliff et Whitstable sont toutes deux à moins d’un mile et, bien qu’un trajet en train de Canterbury soit plus rapide jusqu’à Londres, le train en provenance de Whitstable peut rejoindre Londres en une heure et quart. Nous ne sommes également qu’à une courte distance du Thanet Way et Douvres ainsi que Folkestone sont facilement accessibles pour des voyages sur le continent. Il existe également plusieurs écoles primaires bonnes et remarquables dans la région. Whitstable est à proximité avec ses bars, restaurants, boutiques individuelles, gare et port historique, et nous sommes à seulement cinq miles de la ville UNESCO de Cantorbéry, avec ses bâtiments patrimoniaux, ses commerces de la rue principale, ses pubs et restaurants, ainsi que des écoles privées et de grammaire de premier ordre, trois universités et une gare où les trains pour Londres prennent moins d’une heure.
