- SwimmingPool Ver más Ver menos A modernist work at the gates of the Camargue Built in the 1970s near Nîmes, 35 km from the beaches and lakes of the Camargue, this work signed by the architect Armand Pellier is nestled in the heart of a park of almost a hectare. On a plot of 9,880 sqm, the house covers an area of 260 sqm on one level. The entrance hall with cloakroom, lit by a skylight, serves the day area on one side and the sleeping area on the other. It now hosts a welcoming table, thanks to its beautiful dimensions. The 80 sqm living room opens onto the garden thanks to a glass wall running along its entire length. It hosts a living room with a monumental Gard stone fireplace. The original plan also placed the dining room there. This former sculptor works the inhabited volumes and their inscription in space and the landscape by relying on a regulating line as a support for the composition. He takes into account the topographical and climatic data of each site and designs buildings anchored in their environment, reminiscent of the late approach of the American architect Frank Lloyd Wright as well as the Californian creations of Rudolph Schindler and Richard Neutra.
